I'm Vanessa Gotthainer, founder of C-Level Executive Advisors — a fractional Chief of Staff and operations practice serving consulting firms, founder-led teams, and mission-driven organizations.
For more than two decades, I worked inside some of the most demanding executive environments in the world — supporting Chairmen, CEOs, COOs, and CIOs across global finance, management consulting, and international education. My work has always centered on the same thing: bringing structure, clarity, and disciplined execution to environments where priorities shift quickly and the stakes are high.

In each of these roles, I wasn't a bystander to how senior leadership operated. I was inside it — managing the prioritization, the coordination, the systems, and the follow-through that kept complex organizations moving at the highest levels.
C-Level Executive Advisors was built from that experience — to give consulting firms and founder-led organizations access to that same level of operational leadership on a fractional basis, without the overhead of a full-time hire.


Throughout my career, I worked closely with executives and founders navigating fast-moving priorities, high-stakes decisions, and constant demands on their time. What they consistently needed wasn't more people or more tools. They needed one person who could step in, think ahead, and own the operational layer behind the scenes — someone with the judgment and experience to handle complexity without being managed through it.
I founded C-Level Executive Advisors in 2018 to meet that need.
Today I work as a fractional Chief of Staff and Operations Lead for a small number of clients at a time. I work embedded in their organizations — not as a project resource, but as a consistent operational partner who shows up week over week, owns execution across priorities, and builds the systems that reduce friction over time.
Most of my engagements run one to three years. That longevity isn't accidental. It reflects what happens when the right operational infrastructure is in place — leadership teams move faster, priorities follow through, and the organization stops losing momentum to coordination gaps.
